Start with your hair; everything else will fall into place
Carolyn Bessette, SJP, and finding my style
Some people approach decorating a room by choosing one item (a rug, a painting, etc) and using it as their anchor and inspiration. From there, they select a sofa that enhances the style and colors in the anchor item. And then drapes. And so on until they’ve completed the room piece by piece.
I use a similar strategy to hone in on my style: I start with my hair, and then build everything else around it.
I haphazardly discovered how big of an unlock hair is when I finally I landed on a hairstyle I loved at the tender age of 30.
