I read that Mark Rothko wasn’t depicting anything other than a feeling when he painted. Like this isn’t an abstracted landscape or something. How interesting. He’d put color down and then stand way back from his canvas and see how it made him feel. So beautiful. I’ve decided I’m going to do some painting. I’m craving color in my wardrobe and home and everywhere. I may give his technique a try and see what happens.
Apparently this works wonders as a leave-in conditioner after your shower. I am trying it, will let you know. I like the idea of a hair product made to make hair healthier (not just healthier looking by adding a layer on top).
Idea for a built-in bench with a little table and stools in our cozy work room (our shared home office that I’m hoping won’t feel like an office). From Hotel Lou Pinet
I’m always surprised when I write down what I love about a room: the mini crystal lamps and the vases with roses. And the stone floor and wicker chairs with those lovely green cushions.
This shade of red looks like it faded a little bit in the sun. I love colors that have that effect. They’re always so versatile even when they’re bright. That’s how I used to pick the suede colors for Marais - sun faded brights :)
When I say I want to make art to bring color into our house, this is kinda what I mean. Also I just feel like making things, painting, etc. Varese, Villa Panza di Biumo

As I gear up to potentially make a headboard, cushions, and a few other little projects, I’ve been saving ideas in a Pinterest folder called FABRIC so I have a reference point when I’m trying to source. I’ll be sharing these projects with paid subscribers, so upgrade if you want to see :)
